We've had a serious problem with parvovirus leaving one puppy dead and an astronomical vet bill for the second month running. The saddest thing is it was avoidable and through ignorance, all 5 puppies were infected and one passed away.
I'm so happy to tell you that the remaining puppies Gretel, Gandalf, Gerda, Guinness, Felix and Freya are doing well and being monitored carefully. Sadly we lost Giles. The vet bill will be mammoth once again but we had to try, and you can't put a price on life! 8 of 9 puppies were saved and 2 are in homes.
Sadly homing has been delayed as well as socialising as they're all in solo foster homes. To date, only 2 of the 9 (Fabian & Freida) puppies have homes - they weren't infected.
We continue to cover the remaining puppies' food and medical, which are not free or cheap either. They all got new beds, again, toys bowls - everything was replaced for the second time (to prevent infection/virus spread)! Once again I need to ask for financial help, it's been a very stressful, difficult time I can tell you! It's not over yet as the pups are contagious 6 weeks after recovery. They've all had one vaccination now and we are cautiously optimistic that they will continue to gain strength and make a full recovery.
If you can and will help once again THANK YOU in advance from the remaining 6 puppies in need - our HSBC account is 848 525382 838 Kirstens Zoo Ltd, and a tax deductible receipt will be issued for amounts of $200 and above.
Thank you for your support and generosity.
