DOUGLAS
The New Douglas — 3.5kg Lighter and Still Losing Weight!
Douglas is much more active, energetic, and happy—just as you’d expect. He loves his walks, enjoys hanging out with other dogs in the park, and even runs around now, too!
His foster is doing an amazing job monitoring his diet and exercise—and it’s really paying off. Douglas is currently sharing space with cats and doesn’t seem to mind their company at all. In fact, one of them even uses him as a pillow!
He’s always ready and waiting at the door when it’s time for a walk. He really enjoys a wander along the street or through the nearby park. He’s 100% toilet trained and never goes in the house.
Douglas is no longer allowed to sleep on the bed—his future home may not allow it either—but he doesn’t mind. He has a choice of beds and cozy spots, so all is well!
His weight loss has slowed a bit, but he’s still on track, with a goal of losing another 1–2 kg. He’s recently discovered treats, and if he hears the rattle of a treat bag, he’ll come running—then sit quietly, patiently waiting for his prize. It’s hard to say no when he stares at you like that, but he’s learning.
Douglas would do best with one or two people, with or without other pets. He’s easygoing and currently sleeps next to one or two cats. While his foster has been fantastic, the number of animals in the home is proving to be a bit much.
Douglas is ready—he needs to find his forever home or a new foster. Fosters aren’t forever, sadly.
