VAL

Val is the oldest of our sanctuary cats she’s also the matriarch and has earned her place! Her 3 friends, Fire, Egypt and Diamond who came with her all passed away over the years leaving Val to teach the youngsters how to behave..

She was homed once upon a time when she was younger. She’s always been friendly with cats and people alike and we were all thrilled to bits. Sadly she was returned because she had a habit of opening the drawers and rifling through the cutlery or whatever was in there. She still does it, though we don’t have cutlery in the sanctuary so she messes with whatever else she finds.

She loves to be brushed and will patiently wait until we’re finished cleaning and then shame us into brushing her. Giving her scratches and pats. Val is a gentle, loveable soul who could certainly go to a home and be blissfully happy, with or without other cats.

Sponsors help care for cats until they’re homed. All our cats are given health checks, vaccinations, de-flea, worming, and a microchip. If needed, they are spayed or neutered. Some of our older cats need ongoing medication and more frequent vet visits.
