KELVIN

We took the second batch of cats (the ‘K’ cats) in December 2021. Kelvin is the only remaining long haired cat. He’s a handsome cat though bossy with the others. From day 1 Kelvin tried to control the other cats and succeeded. However one day our amazing Kate decided she wasn’t having any of it and put him in his place. He still to this day shows her some respect, but only Kate!

It’s all about food with the boss, it’s all he cares about! He has no interest in any of the cats unless they’re eating, then he’ll try everything possible to pinch it. He’ll come to the volunteers on ‘tuna or treat days’, his favourites – he gobbles down his food as fast as he can. He then runs from bowl to bowl trying to steal the others’ food. A few of us have touched him, even brushed him but only when he’s eating. I fear we’ll have him a long time …..

It’s sad but he’s fearful of humans though he won’t bite or scratch, he’ll just run – unless of course you have food.

Sponsors help care for cats until they’re homed. All our cats are given health checks, vaccinations, de-flea, worming, and a microchip. If needed, they are spayed or neutered. Some of our older cats need ongoing medication and more frequent vet visits.
