LEO
Leo came to us when his family split up. Their first cat stayed with mum, leaving Leo homeless and dad unable to take him. It was really hard for him to settle at the cat sanctuary, he kept himself to himself. Had no interaction with the other 4 cats unless by accident. The effect of his family leaving him was clearly way too much for him and he has not quite recovered.
Today he lives with one other cat, Keisha. Leo has continued to spend his time on one of the 2 highest shelves while Keisha hangs out on the other high shelf. No, its nothing to do with Leo, she’s just decided that it’s a good spot!
They both come down to eat, drink and use the litter tray though Keisha walks around and more. Sadly, Leo is rarely seen on ground level which is why he’s rather rotund, I guess. He does have his favourite volunteers who he allows to brush him with gusto and give him chin rubs.
Leo has been in a home and was very, very happy, easy going and more. We desperately want him to enjoy that again. It breaks my heart to see him sitting up high watching the door as though waiting for his family to come back for him ……….. it won’t happen! However, someone might see our boy and decide to give him a chance of happiness?
Please contact us if you feel you could give Leo a home forever! He deserves that and so much more ….

Sponsors help care for cats until they’re homed. All our cats are given health checks, vaccinations, de-flea, worming, and a microchip. If needed, they are spayed or neutered. Some of our older cats need ongoing medication and more frequent vet visits.
